CAPRI EZ Mount Albums through LustreColor

I had a chance to sit down with Stu Gellis from CAPRI ALBUM this morning.  I looked at vast assortment of beautifully crafted albums, along with new cover options(Glass Inserts & two tone leather), and also a second look at the EZ Mount Albums.  I really don’t like peel and stick albums because of the production involved, but I was reminded that when ordering the albums and prints through LustreColor, they will mount the photographs in these albums for a mere $1.00 per page. With the cost of labor and time being as scarce as it is, this service from LustreColor is a great value.

The Nikon D700 and SB-900 arrive

I have only spent a couple of days with the new SB-900, but I can tell you that the recycle time has been improved greatly as well as functionality.  It is larger in size than the SB-800 but weight seems to be the same.  Nikon’s CLS is easier to use and built in zoom covers 12-200 for DX, 10.5 with the dome.  Thom Hogan offers a great blow by blow regarding features and how the flash stacks up to the SB-800.  If you have been waiting for a lighter version of Nikons D3, the D700 has arrived.  In conversations with Cole Bellamy from E.P. Levine, the D700 feels much like the D300 with the addition of the FX chip.  The camera is now available in their rental department, this is a great way to try before you buy.

Nikon Updates Firmware for D3 & D300

Nikon has released new firmware for the D3 and D300.  The firmware update remedies the “Dead Battery Syndrome” for the D300 and for the D3, adds some of the D700 improvements.
